Detailed Product Description

Chopped strand mat is a non-woven E-or C-fiberglass mat, product manufactured by spreading continuous filament roving of 50mm in length randomly and uniformly in combination with polyester binder in powder form (or other binder in emulsion form). This product is characterized by good combination of resin, easy operation, good wet strength retention, good laminate transparency and low cost. It is suitable for the applications by hand lay-up FRP moldings, such as: various sheets and panels, boat hulls, bath tubs, cooling towers, corrosion resistant, vehicles etc.

Properties:
     1. Good wet-out, Easy to form, easy roll-out and air release.
     2. Even, thickness, low fuzz.
     3. Good resistance to watering and chemical agents in anti-corrosion applications.
     4. Very high tensile strength, suitable for filament winding or continuous laminating.
     5. Smooth laminate surface, good laminate transparency.
